Can I put my group A aged goalie into Group B so they can receive better shooters shooting on them?
We ask that all goalies stay within their age group. We are always sure to match the age and caliber of the shooters with that of the goaltender. We also do our very best to partner each goaltender with a goalie of or as close to their age and caliber as possible .
Which age group do I register my goaltender in?
Group A is for goalies born years
- 2010
- 2011
- 2012
- 2013
- 2014
- 2015
Group B is for goalies born years
- 2009
- 2008
- 2007
- 2006
- 2005
- 2004
- 2003
Does my goaltender need to have a goalie specific mask and goalie specific skates in order to participate in the camp?
We ask that all the goaltenders are equipped with goaltender specific equipment but in the case of the helmet and skates for our new goaltenders you are not required to have them be goaltender specific. We definitely encourage those to be goalie specific but it is not mandatory. We want our goalies to be as equipped as possible so they can prevent injuries and not have to miss any time throughout the camp.
We strongly advise that all goaltenders wear knee pads under their pads. A shot to the bare knee is no fun at all!!
My young goalie needs help getting dressed but I have to go to work right away in the mornings of the camp?
We encourage you to drop your goalie off for the day (but absolutely fine if you would like to hang out) and we also encourage teaching your goalie to know how to dress themselves as much as possible but our staff will be there to assist your goalie throughout the day if needed.
Is lunch provided during the summer camps?
Lunch is not provided so we ask that you bring or drop off snacks and lunch . We also ask that you let us know of any allergies in advance of the start of the summer camp.
My goaltender just began to play the position, will they be able to keep up with the more advanced goaltenders ?
Yes we would love to have your new goalie participate. We do a very good job of making sure that our new or newer goalies learn the skills that they need to learn and our more advanced goalies will learn what they need to learn. We modify drills if needed depending on the level of the goalie so that they will learn , be pushed , but also be encouraged throughout the entire camp.
Will my goalie be able to work specifically with Drew on the ice?
Drew is on the ice for every ice session and is also involved in almost every off ice session so he will be working closely with every goalie that is registered in our camps.
